As a senior living advisor, I’ve worked with hundreds of families facing one of the most emotional decisions they’ll ever make: when and how to move a loved one into assisted living, memory care, or another senior care setting.
They often come to me overwhelmed, exhausted, and full of uncertainty. Not because they don’t care — but because they don’t know what they don’t know.
That’s where I come in.
Most people don’t realize that the senior care industry is incredibly complex. Facilities vary widely in cost, care levels, licensing, and staff-to-resident ratios. Pricing structures are often unclear. And the wrong decision can cost thousands — or result in a placement that simply doesn’t fit.
Families don’t always have time to research, compare, tour, negotiate, and follow up — especially when a hospital discharge is looming or a crisis has already hit. That’s why having an advocate, a guide, and an expert in their corner is more than just helpful — it’s essential.
What I Do as a Senior Living Advisor
I help families:
-
Understand the difference between independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing
-
Evaluate which level of care is truly appropriate — based on more than just diagnosis
-
Compare local communities and what’s included in the monthly cost
-
Coordinate tours and prep the right questions to ask
-
Review contracts, fees, and “extra” charges that often go unnoticed
-
Provide emotional support and practical guidance throughout the transition
And the best part? My service is typically free to the family. I’m compensated by the senior living community after a successful placement — which means my only goal is to help the family make the right move, not the most expensive one.
Why I’m So Passionate About This Work
Too many families are navigating senior care alone, reacting to crisis after crisis. My goal is to help them be proactive — to make decisions with confidence instead of panic. I bring clarity to a process that often feels murky and rushed.
I’ve seen firsthand how the right placement can change everything — for both the senior and their family. I’ve also seen the stress that comes from getting it wrong. My mission is to help people avoid that, and feel supported every step of the way.
If you’re caring for an aging parent or loved one and unsure what to do next, you don’t have to figure it out alone. This is what I do, and I’m here to help.
